MITHI: A three-member committee has been constituted to hold an inquiry into the hunting of five rare Chinkara (Gazella bennettii) species of deer in Nagarparker a couple of days allegedly by three lawmakers, honorary game warden of Tharparkar Shaukat Ali Hingorjo told Dawn on Wednesday.

Field game officer Mohammad Yousaf Rahimoon will head the inquiry team and has been directed to visit the hunting site and collect evidence, according to Mr Hingorjo. “An FOR (first offence report) would be registered against Pakistan Peoples Party MNAs Faqeer Sher Mohammed Bilalani and Syed Ghulam Mustsfa Shah and MPA Nawab Sardar Khan Chandio if the committee found evidence against them,” he said, adding that Mr Rahimoon had been directed to submit his report as soon as possible.
