KHUZDAR: Three people, among them two brothers of a tribal elder, were killed and another was wounded in firing over old enmity in Kalat on Monday.

Levies Force said that armed assailants opened fire on four people in the Sia Khamb area of Sorab tehsil in district Kalat, leaving them severely wounded.

Residents of the area took the wounded to hospital where three died.

According to the doctor, the deceased and the wounded had multiple bullet wounds, adding that the condition of the wounded was critical.

The deceased, including the brothers of tribal elder Takri Habib, were identified as Mohammad Aarif, Altaf Hussain and Aman.

The bodies were handed over to the family after the post-mortem examination and legal formalities were completed.

A case was registered and investigation was under way.
