PESHAWAR: A magnificent hundred by batsman Fakhar Zaman ensured a thumping 82-run win for Abbottabad Falcons against hosts Peshawar Panthers in the fourth match of the Kaun Bane Ga KPK Ka Champion T20 tournament being organised by PSL franchise Peshawar Zalmi here at the Arbab Niaz Stadium.

Batting first, Zalmi Abbottabad Falcons piled up a massive 229 for the loss of four wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Upcoming left-hander Zaman led the assault with a scintillating 68-ball 153 not out.

His pulverising effort included as many as nine sixes and 13 fours.

Zalmi Peshawar Panthers were absolutely hapless in front of the Zaman onslaught as he scored at more than 7.5 runs per over in his incredible innings.

Adnan Raees contributed 21 runs. Zohaib Ahmed was the only bowler to concede less than nine runs per over, returning figures of one for 35 from his four-over spell.

The Panthers were not in the hunt for long as their batsmen caved in against the imposing score their opponents had set for them.

They folded for 147 runs in 17.2 overs to hand their opponents an 82-run win. Iftikhar Ahmed top-scored with 31 while Kamran Ghulam took three wickets.

Fakhar was named man-of-the-match — a prize of Rs10,000 — for his outstanding feat with the bat.
