SWABI, Oct 12: The chief of Shabab-i-Milli has said that Jamaat-i-Islami will apprise the nation about the secret agenda of United States.

Talking to journalists, Shabbir Ahmad said protest demonstrations against the US attacks on Afghanistan would be held in Karachi on Sunday, in Peshawar on Oct 19 and in Rawalpindi on Oct 21.

Castigating the US and its allies, he said Osama bin Laden was not involved in attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon. The United States, Israel and India were the states that had unleashed a reign of terror against the Muslims, he added.

Also a leader of Jamaat-i-Islami, Shabbir Ahmed demanded an end to the bombing of Afghan cities by the US-led coalition. Osama, he recalled, was a hero when he was fighting the Soviet forces but when he raised his voice against the unjust policies of Washington he was labelled a terrorist.

He questioned the government wisdom for taking a u-turn on the Afghan policy.

In reply to a question about the return of former monarch, Zahir Shah, he said a person who had remained out of his country for over two decades cannot run the affairs of the crisis-hit Afghanistan.
