Five die, 8 hurt in accident

KOHAT, Nov 11: Five people including a minor girl were killed and eight injured in a head-on collision between a coach and a truck at the Kohat-Hangu road near Kacha Pakha on Tuesday.

A Parachinar-bound coach collided head-on with a truck resulting in the death of five people on the spot, whereas eight were seriously injured.

The driver of the coaster was shifted to Peshawar in a critical condition, police said.

Four of the dead were identified as Asim Shahzad, Sabreen (a minor girl), Zareef and Nawab Jan, while the name of the fifth victim could not be ascertained.

Syed Ghulam, Sabreen, Sahibullah, Memoona, Rashida, Syed Jabbar, Syed Rashid and Nazeer Ali were the injured.

#ARREST:# The Saddar police seized huge quantity of illegal arms and arrested eight people in a raid in Muslim Abad town on Bannu road on Tuesday.

Police officials acting on a tip-off raided a Hujra in Muslim Abad and seized three klashnikovs, three 30 calibre pistols, five 12 calibre rifles and a machine gun.
