KOHAT: The police on Wednesday arrested 92 outlaws, including 27 proclaimed offenders, during a search operation in the district.

The operation was carried out in the jurisdictions of police stations Cantt, City, Janglekhel, Ustarzai, Mohammad Riaz Shaheed, KDA, Jarma, Billitang, Gumbat, Lachi and Shakardarra.

According to police, the proclaimed offenders included Sajjad, Rashid, Fazal Rehman, Sohail, Gul Faraz, Khan Zameer, Mansoor Khan, Kamran Ali, Wahid Rehman, Sohail Masoor, Said Ameen, Noor Zaman, Naushad Ali, Samiullah, Lais, Sabir Hussain, Baseer, Niaz Mohammad, Waqas, Naseer, Farid, Mohammad Rehman, Saifur Rehman, Aziz, Hafiz Khan, Mohammad Niaz and Asghar Hussain.

They were wanted to the police in various criminal cases.

During the operation the police also seized three Kalashnikovs, five shotguns, four rifles, 14 pistols, 17 chargers, one dagger, fireworks and 7.5kgs of hashish.

According to sources, the action was ordered by district police officer Sohaib Ashraf.

Meanwhile, unidentified terrorists attacked a school in Bahadar Kot area of Kohat with a hand grenade on Wednesday night.

Sources said that unidentified terrorists attacked a private school located in Bahadar Kot village and escaped.

No loss of life was reported in the attack.

A case has been registered in the police station CTD, Kohat region, against unknown attackers.

ROCKETS SEIZED: The security forces foiled a terrorist attempt and seized rockets and ammunition planted along the road in Akhorwal area of Darra Adamkhel, Frontier Region of Kohat, on Wednesday.

Official sources said that unknown terrorists had planted mortars, etc along the route of security forces vehicles in Dililkhel area of Akhorwal.

Later, the bomb disposal squad of the security forces defused the ammunition.

The seizure included four mortars and thousands of cartridges.

The authorities registered a case and have started investigation.
