KARACHI, Nov 11: Acting Chief Secretary of Sindh Ghulam Sarwar Khehro has called for a report within three days by the Secretary for Irrigation and Power regarding reports that plots worth over Rs30 million have been given to builders for construction of houses and bungalows on the Irrigation department land in Sukkur through manipulation of record.

The acting chief secretary made it clear that the supremacy of law would be maintained and directed that steps should be taken to protect the property of the irrigation department from going into the hands of unscrupulous elements.

Mr Khehro also directed that details about these land be provided to him. — APP
