PESHAWAR, Nov 10: Senior police officials from Japan on Monday gave a presentation to guide the investigation wing of the North West Frontier Province police on collecting evidence from the crime scene and identifying the accused, at a workshop held at the auditorium of the special branch.

The Japanese team gave a presentation about the identification and preservation of the crime scene, corpse examination, collection, verification and specification of evidence, transferring the case to the section concerned and its evaluation, said a press release.

A demonstration of identification of fingerprints was also held.

Earlier, the Japanese team was briefed about the methods adopted by the Frontier police for the collection of evidence from the crime scene and identification of the culprits.

A large number of police officials of the province, mainly from the investigation branch, attended the workshop and it seemed that they found the workshop quite useful for their profession.
