RAWALPINDI: As many as 54 Pakistanis deported from European countries arrived on three separate flights to Benazir Bhutto International Airport on Wednesday.

Of the 42 Pakistanis deported by the British authorities, three were taken into custody by the Federal Investigation Agency’s anti-human trafficking cell for further investigation, while the rest were allowed to go after brief questioning.

The Pakistanis deported by British authorities arrived at the airport on a special flight at about 11.40am. All of the deportees who arrived from London remained seated in the plane until the FIA immigration officials verified their documents. However, three of them were sent to the FIA’s passport cell for further investigation.

After verification of their travel documents, the Pakistani deportees were allowed to disembark the plane and later were allowed to go to their respective homes.

Earlier, 10 Pakistanis deported by Turkish authorities and two by the Romanian authorities arrived at BBIA. They were allowed to go to their homes after a brief questioning.
