LAHORE: The operation of the Dosti Bus has been suspended indefinitely at the request of Indian authorities.

Retired Col Khalid, the manager of Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation, Lahore, told reporters on Sunday that the service would be resumed after getting clearance from Indian officials who had expressed their inability to carry passengers to Delhi in the wake of caste-based protests in Haryana.

All the 20 passengers who had booked seats to cross over to India on Monday had been informed about the suspension of the service, he said.
