KARACHI: Pakistan’s No.1 golfer Mohammad Munir had a fabulous round of golf at the Airmen Golf Course on the second day of the 35th CAS Open Golf Championship here on Friday. He finished the second round with gross score of 68 and over all 04 under par.

Mohammad Ashfaq is sharing the lead by virtue of his overnight score of 04 under par and the four-day championship is still wide open with Mohammad Amir standing at number three with 03 under par and Ahmed Saeed and Afsar Ali closely behind with 02 under par.

First-round leader Ansar Mehmood had a terrible day in the second round with gross score 78 and is on the sixth place with 01 under par. Title holder Moham­mad Shabbir also had a rough day and could not impress.

In senior professional category, Imdad Hussain finished the day with gross score of 01 over par 145, while Mohammad Akram is second with two over par 146.
