DHAKA, Nov 8: A High Court judge on Saturday felt embarrassed to hear a petition filed by Awami League president and leader of the opposition in parliament Sheikh Hasina for quashing the Frigate-scam case against her.

As the case came up for hearing before the HC’s division bench, the second judge felt embarrassed.

Subsequently, the presiding judge of the bench referred the matter to the chief justice to take further step on the case. According to the provision, the chief justice has to send the matter to another bench for hearing.

Hasina filed the petition on Oct 18 this year seeking quashment of the case lodged with Tejgaon police station by the Bureau of Anti-Corruption.
