Six of a family shot dead

QUETTA, Nov 7: A man gunned down six persons of a family in Wadh Tehsil of Khuzdar district, official sources confirmed on Friday.

The incident took place in Peshi Kapar area of Wadh Tehsil on Thursday evening when one Azam Samalani opened indiscriminate firing on villagers of Killi Peshi Kapar killing six of them on the spot.

According to sources the accused went to Killi Peshi Kapar and asked the residents of the village to hand over his opponent who had taken refuge in the village.

The people of the village came out of their houses and refused to hand over Ghulam Mohammad Samalani to him. The accused became furious and opened fire with Kalashikov resulting in killing of six persons on the spot, administrative district officer Sardar Khan Bugti confirmed over telephone.

The deceased persons were identified as Ghulamullah Samalani, Murad Bakhsh, Noor Bakhsh, Mir Mohammad, Noor Din and Mulla Shakoor.

The assailant fled from the scene after the gory incident. Tehsildar Wadh, Lal Mohammad Baloch, rushed to the spot and registered a multiple murder case and launched a manhunt for the culprit.
