LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leader Chaudhry Sarwar has warned the PML-N government to refrain from following anti-people policies; otherwise, the PTI will oust it with the support of the masses.

Speaking at a reception in Defence on Sunday, he said it would be dangerous to let this government complete its rule. He predicted that the government’s decisions, including PIA’s privatisation, would lead it to its political death.

Mr Sarwar said the PTI had a huge public following and it could launch a massive protest movement anytime across the country without anybody’s help. He said the PML-N government in the centre and Punjab had failed miserably and its policies were creating problems for the country, including corruption, loadshedding, price hike and joblessness.

Meanwhile, in a statement, Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed said Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was holding the charge of 10 ministries besides his own office to run the affairs of Punjab in a dictatorial manner. He said “one man” was deciding the fate of 100 million people in Punjab.

PTI Punjab president Ejaz Chaudhry, speaking to the PTI leaders from different districts at his office, said the PIA was facing loss of billions of rupees due to stubbornness of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

The PIA employees were protesting for their due rights and Nawaz Sharif should not run the country like his Ittefaq Foundry.

Mr Chaudhry added the government should implement five points given by Imran Khan; otherwise the party would take to the street. He demanded the government stop economic killing of the masses, warning that federal ministers Pervaiz Rashid, Ishaq Dar and MPA Zaeem Qadri to check their language against the PTI leaders.

In his statement, PTI leader Abdul Aleem Khan said the Punjab government had completely ignored the health department and there was a shortage of some 40,000 doctors in the province. He also said that the Punjab Institute of Cardiology was no more able to handle the increasing number of patients and there was a need to establish more such institutes.
