Lawyers observe black day

GUJRANWALA, Nov 6: Lawyers observed black day on Thursday to protest over the Nov 3 storming of the Lahore High Court Bar by outsiders and demolition of the Fane Road chambers of their colleagues.

The Gujranwala District Bar Association, at a meeting presided over by Advocate Burhanuddin, expressed solidarity with the LHCBA in its struggle for the protection of the dignity of profession.

It said the struggle against the Legal Framework Order and enhancement of the retirement age of judges and for a democratic order and supremacy of judiciary would continue.

TOBA TEK SINGH: The members of the District Bar Association observed complete strike on Thursday on the call of the Lahore High Court Bar Association.
