PESHAWAR, Nov 6: Students belonging to Pukhtun Students Federation (PkSF) staged a protest demonstration near the Peshawar Press Club here Thursday, demanding of the government to initiate action against the vice chancellor of Agricultural University.

They alleged that the VC had created restlessness on the campus.

Addressing the participants of the demo, PkSF university unit chief Syed Alam flayed the university administration for “stoking unrest on the campus.”

He claimed that on Nov 1, the university administration persuaded the students of People’s Students Federation to clash with the Pukhtun Students Federation activists which resulted in serious injuries to Mohammad Ali, a student of IBMA.

The injured student was still hospitalized, whereas the university had been closed down, he said. He alleged that the provost of the varsity belonged to the PPP and therefore he abetted with the students against whom an FIR had been lodged for wounding the student.

“The provost, on the day of occurrence, disarmed the PkSF students and allowed the PSF armed stalwarts to open fire in the campus,” he alleged.
