Gwadar

Published January 21, 2016

WHY is the CPEC’s controversy being extended to Gwadar port?

Why is the status of Gwadar port being questioned or its importance being limited when it is an integral part of Pakistan and that no enemy has its claim on Gwadar? Politicians should desist from making senseless statements.

Gwadar was bought from Oman by the then federal government and officially integrated into Pakistan. Its existence in Balochistan is just a geographical coincidence.
