Ten injured in tribal clash

HANGU, Nov 3: Ten people, including three women, received injuries when two rival groups clashed over a piece of land in Karbogha Sharif, some 30km west of Hangu on Sunday.

Officials said that both parties fired at each other apart from using hand grenades which wounded 10 persons on the spot. Some members of the jirga that wanted to negotiate a truce between the two tribes also received injuries.

The police have registered a case. No person has so far been arrested.

The wounded have been identified as Mohammad Azeem, Wazir Khan, Usman Din, Eid Mohammad, Abdus Sattar, Tayyab and Habibullah.
