KARACHI, Nov 3: A group of students staged a demonstration in front of the Karachi Press Club on Monday against removal of Quranic verses from the new edition of intermediate Biology books.

The protesting students, holding placards and banners, were demanding of the government to ban sale of the books.

They also demanded that the old Biology books be taught, claiming that the new book was against, country’s ideological base.

Speaking to the demonstrators, the Islami Jamiat Tulba’s South Zone Nazim, Sufian Dilawer, said that the students all over the country would oppose “attempts to secularize” education system.—PPI
