New bikes to be added to PM motorcade

RAWALPINDI, Nov 2: The Capital police have decided to purchase two latest model high-powered motorcycles for escorting motorcade of Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali during his inter-city movements, an official source said on Saturday.

The source said the need to purchase two 500cc motorbikes was felt after seeing the existing unsatisfactory condition of the motorcycles being used for escorting the prime minister.

The ICT police had already been provided with special grant for the purchase of double-cabin cars and motorcycles for escorting motorcades of VVIPs and foreign dignitaries during their visit to the federal capital.
