LAHORE: In order to groom technical proficiency of coaches, the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) is organising a regional coaching clinic for Sindh and Balochistan at the Hockey Club of Pakistan Stadium in Karachi from Jan 5 to 8.

According to a PHF press release issued on Wednesday, the federation has detailed Olympian and FIH-certified coach Tahir Zaman as the course conductor, Zahid Ali as assistant course conductor and Adnan Zakir as nutritionist/physical trainer.

Meanwhile, a training camp for goalkeepers will be set up from Jan 5 to 20 at the HCP Stadium side by side the ongoing 62nd National Senior Hockey Championship.

The PHF has appointed former Pakistan goalkeeper Salman Akbar as head coach for the said camp, Arshad Hussain as coach and Nasir Ahmed as assistant coach.

The PHF has also directed Talal Khalid, Hafiz Ali Umair, Ali Raza, Adeel Rao, Sheraz Hafeez, Usman Malik, Hammad Ali, Roman Khan and Muneeb-ur-Rehman to report to the camp commandant at the HCP Stadium on Jan 4.
