LARKANA: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Larkana executive committee met here on Tuesday at Kennedy Market to review the arrangements for the 8th death anniversary of slain prime minister Benazir Bhutto being observed on Sunday.

Senior PPP activist Khair Mohammed Shaikh presided over the meeting.

The participants were told that 600 volunteers belonging to the Sindh Peoples Students Federation and Peoples Youth Organisation would perform security duties on the day, according to a statement issued by the party’s district information secretary, Saleem Soomro.

The Larkana chapter general secretary, Abdul Fatah Bhutto, told the meeting that groups of activists belonging to its various wings would look after their respective assignments like lighting, food, traffic, lodging etc.

The meeting also extensively discussed the issue of awarding party tickets for the special seats in the local bodies.
