KARACHI, Dec 28: The Export Promotion Bureau will send a trade delegation of carpet exporters to Japan and South Korea in the last week of January.

According to the EPB here on Saturday, the selection of the delegation members was underway as the Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association has proposed the names of eight leading exporters, five from Punjab and three from Karachi.

The selection will be made on the basis of financial status, export performance, quality of the product, marketing and previous visits, an EPB official said.

The delegation, which is expected to leave in January, will meet top importers of carpets in Japan and South Korea.—APP
