JACOBABAD: Anti-bandit drive launched

JACOBABAD, Oct 31: After continuous landmine blast incidents, police with the help of the Frontier Constabulary have launched an operation against dacoits in the Sindh-Balochistan border area on Friday.

Led by the DPO, Jacobabad, Din Mohammad Baloch, the operation was conducted in RD-441, Bahoo Khoso Tangwani, Bhittai Colony and other areas from where at least 30 suspects were arrested and a heavy quantity of arms recovered from their possession.

The DPO said that police from Sukkur and Shikarpur districts also participated in the operation.

It may be noted here that during the last three months at least 16 officials of the police and Frontier Constabulary have been killed and 25 injured in landmine incidents in the Sindh-Balochistan border areas.
