LARKANA, Oct 30: The Sindh High Court, Larkana circuit bench, on Thursday issued notices to managers of the United Bank Limited, Lakhi Gate, Muslim Commercial Bank, Steurat Ganj, National Saving Center-I and II, Shikarpur, and slain journalist Ameer Baksh Brohi’s uncle Habiullah Brohi to appear before the court on Nov 6.

The notices were issued during the hearing of a petition filed by the SHO, investigation, Lakhi Gate, on behalf of state in the murder case.

The petitioner had sought permission to examine bank accounts of the deceased and his uncle Habibullah.

The bench, comprising Justice Ali Aslam Jafferi and Justice Syed Zawar Hussain Jafferi, also allowed the SHO to add the name of Habiullah in the petition.

The SHO said investigations had revealed that the journalist, Ameer Brohi, was killed over a dispute regarding financial transactions.
