WANA, Oct 30: The political administration of South Waziristan Agency on Thursday rounded up about 20 Mehsud Abdulai tribesmen in a bid to recover two persons kidnapped by the tribe, according to the sources.

The khasadars of political administration launched the crackdown against the kidnapping of a truck driver and his assistant belonging to Dawar tribe of North Waziristan Agency allegedly by Talib Khan Abdulai, they said.

The political administration was demanding the handing over of Talib Khan Abdulai voluntarily.

On the refusal, the  political administration  under  Frontier  Crime Regulation (FCR) have arrested 20 tribesmen, besides sealing their shops and impounding six vehicles, the sources maintained.

The arrested include renowned elder of the area Malik Shali Khan, Nek Mohammad, Javed, Mohammad Hassan, Taj Mohammad, Munawar Jan, Rasul Khan, Bahadar Sher, Zarbat Khan, Khoza Din, Gulmir, Marzey Khan and others whose names were yet to be confirmed.

Two months back one notorious person involved in a number of theft, robbery and kidnapping cases and wanted by the administration, had escapes on gunpoint when he was produced by a Jirga before the court of Assistant Political Agent, Ladha.
