LANDI KOTAL, Oct 30: A man was injured when a pick-up carrying smuggled petrol caught fire in Bara here on Thursday.

The non-custom-paid double cabin pick-up carrying 96 cans of Iranian petrol, caught fire when the driver was unloading the cans at a dry stream in Kareegar Garhi near Bara.

About 200 more petrol cans were lying on the ground there when the fire broke out as a canister fell from the pick- up.

Driver Sher Afzal sustained burns, while the vehicle was completely destroyed. The fire also burnt 296 cans of petrol. The injured was shifted to Dogra hospital for treatment.
