Uplift schemes of PF-49 reviewed

HARIPUR, Oct 29: A meeting at the district complex held here on Tuesday reviewed the uplift schemes of PF-49 Haripur.

The meeting was attended by provincial sports minister Raja Faisal, DCO Haripur Capt Jehanzeb Khan (retired) and ACO Syed Hassnain Kazmi.

The minister was apprised that Rs3.3 million was provided by the provincial government while the remaining amount of the funds out of total share of Rs5 million from the provincial ADP was expected to be released within next few days.

The minister informed the meeting that the Civil Hospital Ghazi would soon be upgraded to the status of THQ.

He also directed the education department Haripur for maintaining transparency and fairness in ongoing recruitment process.

DISTRICT NAZIM: Haripur district nazim Dr Raja Amer Zaman has asked the union nazims and councillors to mobilize the social workers for the formation of the community citizen board.

He said the participation of public was a must for the development of neglected areas.

The nazim promised to release funds for the carpeting of Gujar Mohra road.

FUNERAL: Maj Gen Mohammed Iqbal Khan (retired) was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyards of Khalabat Township on Wednesday.

He was killed in a road accident on Tuesday night.
