Two LEAs men die in landmine blast

SUKKUR, Oct 29: Two personnel of law enforcements agencies were killed and three others, including the SHO of Bhittai colony police station, Jacobabad, were seriously injured when a landmine went off on the Sindh-Balochistan border on Wednesday.

A police team of the Bhittai police station was on way to the Tangwani police station when it reached near the Baskit police picket it saw a heap of earth.

When police were checking it a hidden landmine exploded, killing FC constable Fazlur Rehman and police constable Ghulam Mohammad Sarki on the spot and injuring the SHO of Bhittai police station, Leemon Lashari, constable Mithal and FC constable Dil Murad. They were shifted to a Larkana hospital.

Jacobabad DPO Din Mohammad Baloch rushed to the spot and started search for more landmines. Outlaws had laid landmines in the area to hamper movement of the law enforcement agencies.
