KARACHI, Oct 29: Sindh Chief Minister Ali Mohammed Mahar, on Wednesday, presided over a meeting at the CM House to give details of the issues discussed at the inter-provincial chief ministers’ conference held recently in Lahore.

The meeting was attended by senior minister Sardar Ahmed, minerals minister Mohammed Usman Malkani, minister for Zakat Irfan Gul Magsi, adviser to chief minister on home affairs Aftab Ahmed Shaikh, Sukkur Nazim Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and others.

The chief minister informed the leaders of coalition parties about his stance on water issue in the inter-provincial chief ministers meeting. The progress made in respect of other issues and a number of decisions were also reviewed in the meeting.

Meanwhile, the chief minister directed the police authorities, law enforcers and administration to take all steps to maintain law and order. He directed that anti-social elements should be taken to task to maintain the sanctity of Ramazan.

He also issued directive for elimination of highway hold-ups and other crimes. —APP
