Asad , Rashid win Seniors tennis

KARACHI: Ex-Pakistan champion Asad Ali Ghagat and veteran Rashid Malik overpowered their formidable rivals in the ITF Seniors Tennis at Karachi Club tennis courts on Saturday to win the the 35-plus and 45-plus titles respectively.

Ayub Bawani and Javed Zakria were the chief guests on the occasion while the matches were also witnessed by Sindh Tennis Association’s Khawaja Saeed Hai and PTF secretary Khalid Rahmani.

Results:

35-plus singles (final): Asad Ali Bhagat bt Amodu Abiola (Nigeria) 6-3, 3-6, 10-7

45-plus singles (final): Rashid Malik bt Reza Ali Mirza 6-3, 6-4

55-plus doubles (final): Altaf Hussain-Zahid Hussain bt Sabih Wali-Ronie Dubash 6-2, 6-1

45-plus doubles (final): Rashid Malik-Imran Ahmed bt Shahid Hussain-Asif Ismail 6-0, 6-1.
