LAHORE: University, college or school education should not remain limited to classroom teaching, but must equally concentrate on grooming, confidence-building and personality development of students through their active participation in co-curricular activities and sports.

A press release quoted Government College University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Hasan Aamir Shah as saying while addressing a ceremony in the honour of GCU position holders in the intermediate examinations.

Parents of the position holders and their teachers also attended the ceremony.

Examinations Controller Huma Tariq said besides six positions, overall more than 66pc of university students secured A and A+ grades in the inter examinations.

The vice chancellor said students and teachers would have to work hard to retain this position. He said he had high hopes from the high achievers that they would surpass their predecessors in academic excellence.
