KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Food, Minerals and Mineral Development Manzoor Hussain Wassan on Tuesday gave directives to Secretary and Director Food to take strict legal action against traders selling wheat and flour varieties at higher rates.

The minister expressed concern over the increase in wheat and flour prices despite enough wheat stocks in godowns.

He claimed that wheat in the province was cheaper than Punjab. He urged the officials to keep a check on prices.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Flour Mills Association Sindh Zone said that millers had not raised flour prices in the last 15-20 days. The association added that millers had no say in the increase of flour prices by retailers.
