Money dispute leaves two injured

MULTAN, Dec 26: Two persons, including a constable, were injured over a money dispute in Kotla Tale Khan on Tuesday.

Rafiq was on his way home when Ajmal and Nasar shot at and injured him. When a constable, Ishaq Khan, tried to pacify Ajmal, he opened fire on him, injuring him seriously.

Ajmal and Nasar managed to escape, while Ishaq and Rafiq were taken to the Nishtar Hospital where their condition was stated to be critical.

Rafiq’s father Malik Arshad told newsmen that Nasar had also injured his another son, Akhtar, a year ago. He said police registered a case but instead of arresting the accused they pressurized him to reconciliate with the accused party. When they refused to do so, the accused tried to kill his other son, he alleged.

When contacted, the Lahore gate police declined to have any connection with the accused.

In another incident, two brothers were injured by rivals near Khani Burj.

Shahbaz and Ghulam Sarwar were going by a motorcycle when Tahir and Tipu opened fire on them and escaped. Both the brothers sustained injuries and were taken to the Nishtar Hospital where Shahbaz’s condition was stated to be critical.—Nouman
