LAHORE The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore, in collaboration with the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) on Tuesday organised the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) Fulbright Orientation seminar for its final year students and faculty members.

The varsity’s Centre for Education Policy and Administration President Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad presided over the inaugural session, while USEFP Principal Adviser Test Preparation Zeeshan Rahat Qureshi was the resource person of the seminar.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Ahmad described the objectives of the seminar and urged the participants to prepare themselves for the test and plan for applying for Fulbright scholarships for PhD studies in the US. He said the GRE was the key to availing Fulbright scholarship and other endless opportunities for higher education and training in the US. He said the seminar was also aimed at creating awareness about the scholarship and its eligibility requirements.

Qureshi spoke about the USEFP, higher education in the US, Fulbright scholarship, GRE/TOEFL orientation and various sections of the GRE test, techniques of preparing and taking it.
