Bilawal hits back at Imran in Badin rally

BADIN: Continuing the war of words against the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf in the run-up to the local government elections on November 19, PPP scion Bilawal Bhutto Zardari attracted a considerable crowd at a Badin rally today.
Addressing the PTI chairman, who had earlier criticised the young leader for being 'immature', Bilawal asked, "Imran Uncle, has any one ever taught a fish how to swim?"
PTI chief Imran Khan had earlier hit out at Bilawal's political inexperience, referring to the PPP chairman as 'baby' Bilawal and saying he should become his student to learn politics as he has yet to qualify for it.
In response, Bilawal House sent the PTI chief some a message about 'what a good age to retire was', hinting that Imran Khan 'was past his time in politics'.

Bilawal, who was standing atop the same specially-constructed vehicle which his mother and former prime minister Benazir Bhutto had used on her arrival in Karachi on October 18 2007, appealed to the resident of Badin to caste their votes in favour of PPP during the upcoming Local Government polls.
In his speech the PPP chairman said he would continue to stand with the people of Badin, who had always stood with his slain mother Ms Benazir Bhutto and now with him.
"My uncles have deceived me and my party, those who called my mother their sister have now have left me and met with Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim and PML-N leaders to conspire against the PPP."
He asked his supporters to vote for the 'arrow' to ensure the defeat of PML-N, the Mirzas and Arbab Group.
Earlier, the Chairman of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto arrived in Golarchi town of Badin in a private helicopter to lead the rally from Golarchi town to Badin to convass for the candidates fielded by his party in the district.
On his arrival, Bilawal was accorded a warm welcome by party supporters and party leaders including the members of Sindh cabinet and large number of law makers.
He was accompanied by Sindh Minister for Education Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Dr Sikander Mehndro, Member of National Assembly Sardar Kamal Khan Chang, Senator Dr Karim Khwaja and other PPP leaders.
People from various areas of Badin and other neighbouring districts arrived in Badin and Golarchi to welcome the PPP Chairman.
Political analysts talking to DawnNews mentioned that Bilawal's show of strength follows the open challenge from former Sindh home minister Dr. Zulfikar Mirza and his family. The analysts also predict that the Mirza family will give the PPP stiff competition in the district, which has traditionally been a stronghold of PPP.

In Badin tough contests are expected on 68 UCs, nine towns committees and two municipal committees, including Badin and Matli town between candidates of PPP and Dr. Mirza and his allies including PML-F, PML-N, JUI-F and Arbab Group headed by former chief minister Dr. Arbab Ghulam Rahim.
Dr. Mirza talking to the local media had welcomed Bilawal said his fight was with Asif Ali Zardari.
During the rally of PPP Chairman, PPP MNA, Dr. Fehmida Mirza and son and MPA Barrister Hasnain Mirza were not present.
While, Dr. Mirza has also announced to take out the huge rally in Badin city to show his power.
Strict security measures have been made in Badin and other towns of the district including Tando Bago, Pangrio, Golarchi and other towns due to the tense political situation.
The second phase of local government elections is scheduled for Nov 19 in 12 districts of Punjab and 15 districts of Sindh.
The districts of Sindh are: Matiari, Tando Allahyar, Tando Mohammad Khan, Thatta, Sujawal, Badin, Hyderabad, Dadu, Jamshoro, Shaheed Benazirabad, Naushehro Feroze, Sanghar, Mirpurkhas, Umerkot and Tharparkar.
The districts of Punjab where LG elections are to be held are: Khanewal, Sahiwal, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot, Sargodha, Mianwali, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Attock and Jhelum.

I am no fan of Bilawal, however remarks from PTI chief Imran Khan about Bilawal's political inexperience and referring to the PPP chairman as 'baby' Bilawal and saying that he should become his student to learn politics as he has yet to qualify for it, shows that Imran himself has to learn lot about mature politics.
No doubt as time goes on he is loosing support in Pakistan as evident from the election results.

PPP is taking its last breath in Sindh. The vacuum will be filled in by PTI, which has risen to national splendor with the blessings and support of people from all four provinces. Sooner or later, Imran Khan will take over the reign of Pakistan and will make it as a great country in the comity of nations. All other parties e.g. PPP, PML, ANP, MQM have become regional parties, but it is only PTI which is growing and existing in all parts of Pakistan. Long live PTI, long life Imran Khan.

Confirming his A grades should not be too difficult, can you share evidence for all to see. His first act in Pakistan was to run the so called Sindh festival damaging Monjo Dahro beyond repair in the process. How cute was that? He is just a child who is toying with the people of Sindh but unfortunately the Sindh society is letting him do it without asking any questions. Regardless of Imran Khans short comings this new "cute" boy from Zardari family has a million miles to go to catch up IK's achievement in Pakistan.

I'm a real stake holder being voter in sindh .I don't know why people welcome Bilawal? What is performance of ppp? What ppp has delivered? Did they reach to murders of Benazir? I won't say anything about IK because PTI has never ruled in sindh. PPP continuously ruled sindh since 1970s but regretfully still we are categorically living in stone age. PPP is party of feudals, corrupt politicians and even proclaimed offenders are issued tickets in polls. Our 5000schools are still closed, malnutrition is experienced at unprecedented scale, how 400children died in Thar. Rampant corruption, vicious circle of poverty and unemployment has totally disappointed sindhi youth. It is very shameful that there is even no merit in sindh public service commission and universties. Literally speaking, youth and middle class totally disappointed from ppp led by Zardari family. Polls are rigged, managed through bureaucracy and police in upper sindh. We want change in status quo.

Police corruption was the worst in Karachi because the good officers were afraid to stand up against the bad officers and the criminals until the Rangers came in. The governor of Sindh even tried to protect his corrupt friends from the Rangers.

I think federal government is scared of sindh card used by ppp since inception. It's a false and absurd theory that If ppp fails Nationalist will control sindh. Reality is that people of sindh are patriotic and true lover of Pakistan if province is well governed by any reformer ruler. PPP has lost his say among literate and educated class. Federal Government should realise that ppp is party of so called Democrats and people of sindh welcome any political party either N league or pti. @AILLY ... Nawaz Sharif, for all his faults, is trying to modernize the Pakistan economy and build up trade with the world. He also brought in the Rangers to bring law and order to the mess the PPP left Karachi in. He has been trying to build transportation and electrical power systems. At this point Bilawal and Imran only want to get elected. A.A. Zardari, in my opinion, is a do nothing who only wants to bask in the limelight of self. If his father is any example Bilawal won't put in the hard work necessary to manage Pakistan. His "uncles" will have to do all the work. While Imran will be laboring over his blueprint for a future Pakistan society his mentors in the PTI will actually be running the day to day operations of separating people from their money. Neither Imran or Bilawal have a tax structure proposal or a business model for Pakistan.

Actually Bilwal is makes a weak analogy for a Oxford grad was it? Of course no one teaches a fish to swim a fish biologically and inherently 'knows' how to swim, its its nature. Its like Bilwal saying does someone teach a human to breath or walk? Point being any politician earns respect due to merit and work. Even India know has dropped dynastic politics and chose Modi who like IK worked hard to build his reputation and his party. Sadly PK, is still in the era of not what you did or what you accomplished but rather who you are and where you come from.

@abdullah: Don't worry. I am a Pakistani Baloch and all Pakistan is my home, and I can live wherever I choose. For your knowledge, Baloch are a traditional people, who are represented by Sardars. Recently, our tribal leader Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind has joined PTI and soon you will see many other Sardars will join PTI, which is a only hope for all nations representing the federation of Pakistan (e.g. Punjabi, Balochi, Sindhis and Pushtoons). Imran Khan is the only leader from Punjab, who talks about the rights of all the people, which have never been talked before by anyone from Punjab. Likwise Bhutto, he is respected and accepted by all Pakistanis. He talks about people empowerment, rejects Kalabagh Dam and the division of Sindh, which is often propagated by MQM, just to survive and remains in headlines.
