FAISALABAD: Pakistan off-spinner Saeed Ajmal has been allowed to run his academy here at the University of Agriculture (UAF).

In a meeting held here on Tuesday under the chairmanship of UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan, it was resolved in principle that Ajmal be given permission to run his academy but the allotment of the university land where the academy was being run could not be allotted to Ajmal, as per the university rules.

According to UAF spokesman Dr Jalal Arif, the university had no objection over running the academy at the university land but its land cannot be allocated to Ajmal for running the academy.

A friendly match between Saeed Ajmal-XI and DCO-XI will also be played at the academy next Sunday, Dr Jalal added.
