TAXILA: An initial report of education and building departments reveals that the Oct 26 earthquake damaged eight schools in tehsil Hassanabdal while three were declared dangerous.

According to sources, in the absence of proper buildings, hundreds of students of these schools are forced to take classes in the open.

The official report reveals that among these schools, Govt Primary School Pind Mehri, Govt Girls High School Dhoke Sondaki and Govt Girls Primary School Sultanpur have been declared dangerous.

When contacted, EDO Zahoor Hussain said DCO Habibullah was supervising the repairs.

Deputy district officer, buildings, Shahzad Khan said in the first phase, buildings declared dangerous would be repaired.
