Four killed in exchange of fire

NAROWAL, Oct 25: Four people were killed in a crossfire between two rival groups near Khanowal Berowali village of Shakargarh tehsil on Friday evening.

Chaudhry Aslam, the son of a prominent figure of the area, Chaudhry Afzal, was going to his village Gumtala by motorcycle along with his friend Ehsan Elahi after attending an open kutchery at Chaora village. When they reached near Khanowal Berowali, their rival Kashaf and Abdullah opened fire on them. Aslam died on the spot while Ehsan sustained serious injures. Despite injuries, he returned the fire killing both the assailants on the spot.

Ehsan died on way to hospital.
