SUKKUR: Activists of the proscribed Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamat (ASWJ) along with families and relatives of their four ‘missing’ party colleagues on Thursday staged a demonstration in Thull town for their release or safe recovery.

Speaking to the media, the protesters said that Mohammed Musa Sarki, Hidayatullah Sarki, Shabbir Ahmed Banglani and Ghulam Rasool Kandrani had left Thull, their hometown in Jacobabad district, for Khairpur four days ago but there was no clue to their whereabouts since then.

The had left together in a car but we lost contact with them a few hours later as their mobile phones were found switched off, according to the family members of the missing activists.They said they were in constant touch with the Thull, Sukkur and Khairpur police none of them was cooperating with them in finding a clue to the missing persons.

The protesters urged the authorities concerned to look into the matter as they feared for their lives.
