LAHORE: The Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) delegation comprising vice-president Shaukat Javed and secretary general Mohammad Khalid Mahmood left for Chennai to attend the executive committee meeting of the South Asian Organising Committee to be held there on Sunday.

The agenda of the said meeting includes discussion and finalisation of matters related to organising the XII South Asian Games in Guwahati and Shillong, India in January 2016.

After XI South Asian Games, 2010 held in Dhaka, the 12th edition of the South Asian Games will serve the region’s athletes with an opportunity to compete and demonstrate the Olympic Values under the aegis of the national Olympic committees of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan and the Maldives.
