Facebook introduces video profile picture

Facebook is set to introduce a function which allows users to have a seven-second looping video as their Facebook profile picture. The social media giant announced five major changes to user profiles, some of which have been rolled out already.

In a bid to make the decade-old social network more visually-stimulating, Facebook will give users the option to pin ‘Featured Photos’ to the top of their profile and have temporary profile pictures. It will also add easier visibility controls for the ‘About’ section — including a new 100-character Bio field — and roll out a mobile-centric design with centred profile photos and larger sections for photos and friends.

The new features are designed to highlight “what’s going on in their life, what’s important to them now in more expressive ways,” Facebook project manager Aigerim Shorman told.

Disney’s Duck Tales is coming back!

REBOOTS are becoming fairly common and perhaps starting to lose their exciting edge — but we’re happy to admit that this is a big exception.

Disney have announced that popular 80s and 90s cartoon series, Duck Tales, is to make a big return on channel Disney XD — although we have to wait until 2017 for it to hit the screens.

The rejuvenated series will see characters like Scrooge McDuck and the mischievous trio Huey, Dewey and Louie return for some brand new adventures and parents across the land who grew up with this as a childhood staple are likely eager to share the joy with their own kids.
