I AM saddened to see the kind of language and tone being used by some parents about private schools. How can they call schools as mafia and send their children every day to the same mafia to get educated?
It’s time these parents realised the negative impact of their behaviour on their children’s young mind.
By demonstrating a positive attitude and respect for the teachers and school, parents will not only inculcate a value of respect and gratitude, they will also influence their children’s positive behaviour, relationship with teachers and their desire to learn.

Miss Shareef 's point is well taken. But it is absurd to suggest the private school owners are not working on the pattern of the mafia. The parents are correct in calling them mafia. If you do not like the word mafia used in this context then you should call them a Criminal syndicate .
Can you imagine the hardships of the poor parents they undergo to educate their kids. How many these private schools can vouch that they are providing quality education to the students enrolled in their fancy named schools. Their standards have gone down while their faces go up every now and then. There has to be limit to the greed for money.
These owners of Private Schools have no conscience, they are driven by the money making greed. The teachers respect is not compromised by the parents rather by the owners of these business establishments.

Too much idealism, like "education mafia" is giving free education. Got tears in my eyes reading this letter.

The private schools owners and teachers themselves invited trouble at least in Islamabad, firstly by running school business in residential houses, where children are crammed up in class rooms, without a proper ventilation or play grounds. What sort of mental and physical growth can we expect from this future generation of ours? Secondly the teachers at these private schools are on the faculty of a number of school and in the evening coaching privately and charging high fees, the question where are their loyalties, and how much justice are they doing to the students. Why all this greed in our society? And we thought teaching was a very noble profession.

apologies to those who disagree ,but the reality and fact remains that education is now not a priority. call it bussiness . we all are very fortunate that our Govt is also helpless . i only wish there was a policy . no two schools have the same syllabus. every street has a school registered or unregistered . the Govt is helpless to determine any fees standaard .the best earning ,the best investment to avoid tax is to open a school and it is the sweet will of the team who starts a school to decide whatever they wish . the entire reference only includes cities and not villages where there is no O or A level . when the PM priority is also to establish bussiness buy property in UK or steel mill investment in India what education ? ,. and by the way "CURSE " be on such education despite all efforts by parents to part most expensive 'O ' and "A' level education by fair or foul means none of our University ,college ,school certificate ,or degree is acceptable anywhere in theworld .
