Farrukh, Saeed power KPT in last-8

KARACHI, Oct 21: Muhammad Farrukh and Saeed Asif put Karachi Port Trust (KPT) in the last eight stage of DHA Trophy KCCA Inter-firms cricket tournament beating Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) by eight runs at UBL Sports Complex Ground on Tuesday.

Farrukh hit 70 with six boundaries to steer KPT to 193 all out in 40 overs. Off-spinner Saeed Asif was the pick of his team’s attack with four wickets for 45 runs.

SSGC in reply were restricted to 187 for seven wickets in

KPT finished group champions while SSGC secured runners-spot and also made into the quarterfinal.
