Milkshake with edible gold!

A CHEF said he has created the most extravagant milkshake in the UK — with each serving contains edible real gold.

The indulgent ‘Mayor’s Gold’ drink is drizzled with gold-infused syrup and topped off with 22-carat gold flakes — with the creators boasting that it might be a bit rich but the taste is on the money.

Luckman Ali, who sells the creations said each one contains around two teaspoons full of gold flakes and also the concoction of crushed Whisper gold chocolate bar, white chocolate Lion bars, Hershey’s cookies and cream chocolates added to vanilla ice-cream and the plush toppings is an idea that has struck gold.

He said: “I think this is the most expensive milkshake in the world.” The milkshake is named Mayor’s Gold, after Oldham Mayor, councillor Ateeque Ur-Rehman. It costs Luckman £28 for just 100mg of the gold flakes and he says he uses around 25mg per serving, which is around two teaspoons.

And despite the 400-calorie delicacy being packed with gourmet gold, it will only set you back £10.

AN elderly woman from Guiyan village in Ziyang City, in south-west China’s Sichuan Province has stunned doctors by sprouting what looks like a unicorn horn from her head.

While the 87-year-old, Xiuzhen’s family say a mole-like growth on her head has developed into a 13cm-long hard mass resembling a horn. And she has become known to local residents as the ‘unicorn woman’ since the abnormal growth has appeared and taken over the top of her head.

Although the 13cm-long single large mass is already a massive size, medical professionals are baffled by its appearance.

According to Wang Chaojun, Xiuzhen’s son, “…the horn hurts my mother and prevents her from sleeping. It also bleeds from time to time.”

Doctors in Sichuan diagnosed the so-called unicorn horn as ‘cornu cutaneum’ (cutaneous horn), a keratinous skin tumour that has the appearance of a horn.

Often small and benign, the growth can in some cases be much larger and malignant.
