Hyderabad BISE declares HSC results

HYDERABAD: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Hyderabad announced on Wednesday the results of annual examinations-2015 of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Part-II (Class-XII) of the humanities group, and HSC Part-I and II of the commerce and home economics groups.

Girls clinched all the top three positions of commerce and home economics while boys won the second and third positions in humanities group.

The 10 districts of Sindh which fall under the jurisdiction of the board include Hyderabad, Matiari, Tando Allahyar, Tando Mohammad Khan, Jamshoro, Dadu, Thatta, Sujawal, Badin and Shaheed Benazirabad.

Humanities Group

Fiza of the Government Higher Secondary School Khabar Lakhmir secured the first position with 831 marks out of the total 1,100. Ali Hassan and Abdul Hafeez of the Government Higher Secondary School Dour secured the second positions with 801 marks each while the third position went to Ahsan Ali of the same school with 795 marks.

Overall pass percentage of the group remained 81.93 including 80.16 per cent of boys and 85.21 per cent of girls. Not a single candidate got grade A-1 while 17 got grade A, 1,126 grade B, 3,065 grade C and 1,272 won grade D.

Commerce Group

Arfa Irfan of HIAST College Hyderabad clinched the first position with 785 marks and Sonia of the same college secured the second position with 772 marks while the third position went to Sundus of the Government Degree Girls College Hyderabad with 770 marks.

Overall pass percentage of the group remained 84.29 including 81.08 per cent boys and 90.91 per cent girls.

No candidate received grade A-1, three secured grade A, 103 won grade B, 456 got grade C and 310 achieved grade D.

Home Economics Group

Amara Zahra, Aeman Ayoub and Hunza of Dr I. H. Zuberi College of Home Economics Hyderabad won the first position with 969 marks and the second position with 930 marks and the third position with 898 marks respectively.

Overall pass percentage of the group remained 68.89. Forty five candidates were registered with the board and they all appeared in the examinations.

Only one candidate clinched grade A-1, seven grade A, 16 grade B, six won grade C and only one obtained grade D.

Meanwhile, the board also announced HSC Part-1 results of annual examinations 2015.
