Pakistani band Mizmaar along with Indian band Euphoria has recently released a song called Yeh Dil. Here the frontmen for both the bands, Kashan Admani and Palash Sen, speak to Images on Sunday about their collaboration

How has the response to the video of Yeh Dil been?

Kashan Admani: The new video has been received really well and it’s turned out to be one of the biggest independent releases as the song features India’s biggest rock star Palash Sen of Euphoria. We shot this video in recording studios in Mumbai and Karachi. As always it’s very important have some sort of a visual to your song even though most people now watch and hear music on the web but a video is what most people want to see on social media too.

Tell us about the experience of collaborating with Palash?

KA: Palash is a great human being and with him it was like working with somebody we knew for ages. He is one of the most fun persons to work with. We had a great time creating Yeh Dil with him and will hopefully keep on doing much more work together.

Are we expecting a Mizmaar album anytime soon?

KA: We have been lucky to get some really big names to collaborate with us on our upcoming album and we will soon be revealing exactly who they are!

We are hoping to release the album by December 2015.

What has Euphoria been up to lately?

Palash Sen: Concerts! The boys and I love being on stage and entertaining people. That’s what we set out to do 17 years ago, and it seems unlikely that this will change. We just did the music for Aisa Yeh Jahaan a film that I acted in as the male lead. Kashan from Mizmaar has mastered the album and mixed a couple of songs as well. We have begun work on Euphoria’s next full length record and we will start releasing the singles soon!

How was working with Mizmaar?

PS: Euphoric! Kashan and Alfred are very good friends of mine and we connected on a different level right from the word go. Apart from being stellar musicians, what impressed me the most was the fact that they are very good people. Yeh Dil is a beautiful song with a powerful message. A message that’s very relevant in today’s times where hatred is preached at every level. I am honoured to be the voice that’s taking the beautiful message of love, friendship, peace and harmony to millions of people across the globe.

Tell us about your future plans?

PS: Ideally, I want to buy a farmhouse by the countryside and grow vegetables there. It means that my future plans revolve around the idea of me doing nothing. Euphoria se utopia tak! On a serious note, my future plans are simple. More Albums, more shows. And I want to return to Pakistan in 2016.
