QUETTA, Oct 18: Balochistan University Vice-Chancellor M.A. Rashid on Friday rejected the demand of the students to postpone the annual MA and MSc examination, scheduled for Dec 8,

The students continued the boycott of the classes for the fourth day.

According to sources, the vice-chancellor said at a meeting of the deans of faculties and heads of the departments of the university that the examination would be held as scheduled and the administration would not succumb to the pressure of the students’ organizations.

He directed the teachers to complete the arrangements for the examination.

He said the postponement of the examination would affect the academic session, admissions for 2004 and the teachers’ winter vacations.

He said the examination forms of those students would be accepted who have 75 per cent attendance.

Mr Rashid warned that the students who do not appear in the examination would get a chance only in the next annual examination.
