LAHORE, Oct 18: Commenting on news items that a policeman was suspended for checking the tinted glass of an army vehicle, the ISPR termed the reports ‘unjustified’.

According to an ISPR press release, the vehicle did not have tinted glass, it had a three-inch wide strip of black adhesive paper on the upper portion of the windscreen, which was meant to shield the driver from sunlight.

The ISPR spokesman claimed that behaviour of the policeman with the driver in uniform despite verification of official documents and the presence of a family in the car, was highly insulting and unwarranted.

The spokesman alleged that the policeman was not only rude to the family but had also manhandled the driver.
