KARACHI, Oct 18: Two men and a woman were killed in separate incidents in different localities on Saturday.

A security guard shot dead his wife by using his official gun at the house of his in-laws in Mominabad, Orangi Town.

Police said that Khalida, 35, and mother of four, had married Saeed Mohammad, a security guard, some three weeks back. It was a second marriage for both Khalida and Saeed. Khalida had four children from her first husband.

She had a quarrel over domestic matter and she left her husband’s home in Pathan Colony for her mother’s home in Zia Colony — a shanty town. Both the areas fall in the jurisdiction of Mominabad police limits.

Saeed Mohammad came to his in-laws home in Zia Colony to take his wife back, where he again exchanged hot words with his wife. Provoked, he shot his wife to death and fled. Police shifted the body to a hospital for autopsy and started looking for the absconding security guard.

In Korangi, a man stabbed his friend to death over a dispute over money and fled.

Police said that Amjad and Javed worked for a food factory and lived in a factory quarters which they shared together. Amjad had a quarrel with Javed over money matters and they exchanged hot words. Javed slept in the quarter and Amjad left. He came back with his two accomplices late in the night and stabbed Javed to death, and fled. Police are looking for the suspects.

In another incident, a man was shot dead and another wounded in a bungled robbery in Saeedabad.

Police said that Wasim attended the wedding ceremony of his uncle Jaffar, who was also his next door neighbour. As he returned home along with his another uncle Zahid, and unlocked the door, they ran into robbers present inside the house. Wasim and Zahid put up resistance to the robbers, who fired at them and fled. As a result, Wasim, 16, and Zahid, 30, were wounded and taken to a hospital where Wasim died.
